Album Vision

The 11-tracks on the album are a melodic story arc that is vibey and nostalgic, accompanying the listener through various stages of her life journey set to song. "I like focusing on storytelling that includes romantic, heartfelt, inspiratonal, emotional, fun, whimsical and empowering tracks. Things I feel good about listening to, and suspect others will too."

Songwriter's Bio

Vincentia "Vita" Shields goes by the artist name Vitaologee, which she uses as a spin on the prefix of her nickname ("Vita") and phonetic suffix "-ology" which means "the study of."

"Vita" means "life' in romance languages and "war" in Swahili. The tension of those two words is beautifully woven into poetry that is conscious and focused on personal peacemaking and healing infused into her songs.

She began writing regularly after a series of traumatic events, including the death of her mother and a health crisis leading to Vita being hospitalized. It was there that she got a breakthrough and began pouring out her heart on paper, which eventually led to her recording her singing, taking voice clips of melodies she later utilized as guided vocals for several songs on the "Vitaologee" album.

Vita is currently producing a 2nd album which will be her first full hands-on arrangement/production which will combine her poetry, musical collaborations and vocals coming in 2027. The album will be a celebration of love, the power of Self Respect, continuing chill vibes in the key of R&B/Neo-Soul. Be on the look out in early 2027!
